Hectic but Fun Filled Saturday

Last Saturday was one of the happiest day of my life. Not because I did overtime at work at the office to impress our boss, nor the visit to the dentist to adjust my brace, which turns out really annoying coz she bump my schedule in favor of a friend/late comer, neither did my car who exhibits a different sound/jerking moves the other night, it's because the Kids I'm partly teaching had their stage presentation already!

With luck on my side (and God definitely!), I was able to attend and saw my kids presentation last weekend, even with the bumped schedule on my dentist! Nakakatuwa! I was looking forward for the preformance of the second batch of kids coz this kids are really close to me. And when they perform onstage, wow, the feeling is like heaven. Ang saya-saya! They didn't stop whenever they forgot their lines. Adlib kung Adlib! I feel like a father who see his kids onstage for the very first time. I'm very proud of them!

After their presentation, Fr. Rocky did some speech. He did praise the kids for doing very well on-stage and he congratulate the volunteers for a job well done as well. He did talk a lot about volunteerism and its benefits to the kids, like how we make them feel special, love, etc. which really touch me coz I didn't know that my simple visits to the kids are big deal to them.

Now, after that hearthwarming speech, I have a wider perspective with Tuloy and I'm enjoying every minute I've spent with the kids.

NMopw, I can't wait for Thursday =)

Daredevil does it again!

I've just been told last night by my friends that im very fast during reverse driving. Now, only this morning I did it again, and the result: A big area on the right side front light has gasgas. Kainis! Its another addition to daredevil's scars: 3 dents, bumper scratched and now this....

I love this girl, love in the sense that eventhough we dont see each other for a long time i still consider her as one of my treasured friends. I feel like her brother (maybe twin brother) because we have the same attitude and likes in life.I've met her when we're in h.s. and we became fast friends because we have so many things in common.Our friendship grows stronger when we're in 4th year.I can still remember the day that we made our adviser cry ("theo:mam kung hindi nalng po tau matutuloy sa retreat natin buti pa isoli nio nlng ung bayad namin, Ana:Oo nga Mam, All: SOLI BAYAD!SOLI BAYAD!). I always hang out in their house in West Rembo (fyi: u need to cross C5 highway just to get there, im C5's number 1 jaywalker coz i hate their overpass) and watch cable movies there and also eat tahong...hehehe..Really, she taught me how to eat tahong whick i find gross during those days! She have a lot of admirer but no one dare to court her coz they find him intimidating (she's 5'8"!), but there's one guy which i think will definitely be her knight in shinning armor.Sana magkatuluyan sila hehehe...I rally miss the days when we have so much fun without thinking what would be the consequence.We're young and we have so much fun back then. To you my friend, thank you, you made my highschool life memorable.

A day in the life of the Material man

4:05 = finally get-up from bed, have to walk to bathroom with eyes still closed while cursing this damn company to have its employees go to work very early...ZZZzzzzzz.....

4:35 = eating breakfast at mess hall..hmmm..i just wish its not tuna flakes (yikes!)

4:37 = jasper arrive late at mess hall.

4:52 = catching the 2nd trip bus, dont like the first trip coz ang aga2 dadating sa office

4:59 = bus started to move..must get some sleep even for 20 minutes at the bus

5:15 = woke up by jasper's snoring!

5:31 = arrive at site office,
guard:good morning sir,

5:50 = morning exercise! yippee!

6:10-7:00 =chat with glory-ane,melai,charlie,ana.ramelle,joan. Answering emails from jphil.

7:01 = work starts (actually it should start at 6 am hehehehe)

7: 30 = first customer starts to come in (jay: theo i have missing materials, theo: nako hindi ako imbestigador para maghanap, hanapin mo yan sa site!)

7:45 = second customer starts to come in (sonny: mohandes theo, papirma nga nitong material requisition, theo: ilagay mo dyan sa table ko, balikan mo after 5 days, sonny:gusto mo sapakin kita dyan, theo:nak ng tokwa o ayan na! (sbay pirma)

8:00 = chat with ka rene, jasper and rahim.

8:05 = go to warehouse to do some work (kuno!)

8:20 = arrive at warehouse, chat with sir rey and arnel, chat first work later.

8: 50 = finally start my work here at the warehouse (utos po ito ng amo ko!)

9: 15 = bid farewell to sir rey (balik me bukas, kwentuhan ulit tayo hehehehe)

9:35 = arrive at site office,

11:51 = starts eating our lunch...thank god we have japanese food also together with filipino food. no wonder we're getting fatter here hehehe...

Introducing Daredevil..

Hello. Let me introduce myself. My name is Daredevil. Im a 2008 model of Mitsubishi Adventure GLS Sport, I'm Best bud Theo's car by the way.
Me and Theo met last March 2008, I believe he just came from abroad, and he purchased me from my previous home in Citimotors Pasong Tamo in Makati. At first we don't have the instant connection between the two of us, because he didn't know how to drive. "Well, its ok, he can learn to drive maybe after few days", I said to myself. But he didn't used me after two months pa (thats after he enroll in driving school and get the driving license). Now he always used me when he goes to office and sometimes to gimiks.
You might be wondering why daredevil is my name, well, according to Theo we've both have the daredevil streak in our personality, and here are the things which makes us a daredevil:

1. Beating the red light at Ayala Alabang and almost got hit by a Bus and an SUV.
2. We like to make "singit" even if the space is small.
3. Seldom check the right side mirror.
4. Never check the small mirror on the front.
5. Driving on the main road-dirt road-main road-dirt road at C5.
6. Turning left on Shell gas station in Madrigal going to office without care.
7. Didn't care at all if the car behind us was cursing mad when my engine suddenly stop.
8. Didn't believe that traffic enforcer/MMDA exist.
9. Didn't believe in road rules at all!
10. Drive in the middle of the highway in 40kph speed.

Today, i've got scratch on my bumper thanks to Theo (he's really pissed off earlier), but anyhow I'm still goodlooking, squeaky clean, engine free troubled car that you can ride on.

Review?

Yesterday, our Totoy Bibo Mr. EIC (i.e. Editor in chief) informed me that I'll be doing the Music review for our Cute Department Newspaper. WTF? I said to myself. I thought I was just doing the "Employee of the month" column which me and Manay already did and pass before deadline. Being a good boy I am (yeah, mabait na ko ngayon, not as @$$hole as before) I replied him "ok i'll prepare the column and send it to you within the week".

Now, im browsing the internet to find any music review articles which I can copy....er..referred at for my impromptu article. Current artist on my mind: Madonna, Estelle, Chris Rock, and the pinoy artist who sang "Betamax" (my current LSS).

After hours of searching in the internet all I can find are: ACCESS IS DENIED/BLOCKED.

WTF!

Oh well, I guess its back to the old drawing board, i'll better start listening to the album I have on my i-pod. Kainis naman, doing music review should have a jobcode! It will take me forever to finish this article.

Today's activity went smoothly, eventhough i have to resend my email telling my officemate that the presentation will be cancelled pero actually will push through pala coz the projector was working properly pala.

After the presentation, Manay and Me decided to take our pictures outside the office, for our article pics in the newsletter of our office. After too much posing and re-take we've finally chossen the best shot (which to be seen by the whole office department!)

Hohum...its already uwian na. Another battle at the gym. Must get rid the flabby tummy.Look at the picture on the left, nice di ba? hehehehe.

The day that was..

Last Saturday was full of fun fun fun! Eventhough I have a hard time waking up at 7:00 am (on a Saturday!), which i consider is a crime, eh I immediately sprang up of bed and have immediately take the shower and breakfast to catch up my 8:00 am appointment with Citimotors in Las Pinas for my 1ooo km free check-up.
8:15 am: Here I was, together with my dad, lounging in the visitor's area of Citimotors. Nothing much to do around here i inspect, buti nalang they have newspaper! The service advisor told us that he would try to fix...err..maintenance check my car before noontime. Great!, I said to myself. I will still have some time to go to the dentist and make it to Tuloy for the practice. After 3 hours, 1 burger mc do meal, 2 newspapers, 3 episodes of The Family Guy on my i-pod, the car was ready. Hmmm...nice sounds the engine made..hehehehe..halatang bagong tune-up! After we bid adiue with Jimmy (he's the service advisor pala) We went home immediately and change clothes for my lakad in the afternoon.
Btw, during the course of waiting in line at Citimotors, tatay found out that I have 3 dents on my car! I promise to myself I will never ever park in the basement again! I have one suspect and I know he's the one who made that dent!

1:00 pm: After a quick dash at our office, I immediately went to my Dentist for the readjustment of my brace. Yup, i do have brace, para dun sa hindi pa nakakaalam. I know i maybe too old to have brace but hey, its my life and I dont care what you think about it =P.
Adjustment went smoothly for about an hour. Great! I 'm just in time for my next gig with Tuloy.

2:00 pm: Prcatice with the kids went great! They we're fantastic (im not exaggerating here) and they've memorized all there lines na. Such a happy feeling seeing this kids practicing, and asking me questions ranging from Greek literature,Science and Architecture. Maybe im destined talaga to be with them para mabago ang perspective and outlook ko sa life. =)

6:00 pm: after saying buh-bye with the kids and other volunteers, i immediately drive my way to Pateros to fetch Ms. Tisay. And here the misadventure starts. First it took me 20 minutes to get out of Alabang exit going to South SH. Second, gasoline was nearly empty while I'm in Sucat palang! Must drive faster para makaabot ang gas! Third: While on C5, mistook the dirt road as the original road ng C5, and ending: i ended up in Pembo (not bad though)! Fourth: My right side mirror got bumped in Buting, Pasig, luckily it was not damaged. Fifth: Ms. Tisay was 1.5 hours late! Wahahahaha. Nevertheless, all the misadventure was worth it when i saw Ms. Tisay. It's been a while since we've last seen each other (college days i think).

Anyhow, much of the evening was spent eating at Texas Grilled resto, stroll at Bonifacio High Street, Admiring the cool sculptures and counting how many poodle we saw on that place (7 poodle to be exact) and doing some window shopping. It was fun strolling The Fort, and the driving all the way to Taguig, Makati, Pateros and Pasig was even more fun.

Must get back to The Fort again...and soon!

Saturday activity

It's Saturday, and I'm awake at 7:00 am, It's a miracle!!!

Nah, i have an appointment kasi sa Citimotors for my 1000 km check-up at 8:00 am
Then, i have dentist appointment at 1:00 pm.
Then go to Tuloy kids at 2:00 pm for the dress rehearsal.
Then go to Tisay's house for a movie date.

Goodluck wallet, its going to be a tough battle ahead.

Btw, i lost in bingo game pala last night..sigh..
