Visiting the Grave..Paying Homage to the Great Persian Poets

After our late lunch in a resto near Persepolis, we headed back to the city of Shiraz to visit another famous tourist spot. The Garden of Hafez and Saadi

(The tomb of Hafez)

As per Persian culture, they have prepared the tomb of Hafez with beautiful and well manicured garden.

(Interpreter!!!!)

(The golden libingan of Hafez)

When we visit the place, even at 4:00pm, a lot of people was still in the garden. The place is very much crowded, and since we're the only east asian in the throngs of people a lot of them we're looking at us. Tourist!!!

A must do here in the Tomb of Hafez is to touch the golden tomb. Since there's a lot of people who want to touch it i Just laid my finger on it and went away. Ayoko nga makipagsiksikan just to touch the tomb. =P

Since the concentration of people was in the tomb, I just help myself taking my pictures in the garden.

(me and the flowers..hehehe)

(i need an interpreter!)

(huh?asan?)

A cute tyke was playing near where we stand. We took picture of him, while his parents was looking. The kid is just so cute =D.

Another young boy ask us to take picture with him. We feel like a celebrity having our picture taken by many people. Hahaha. The family was so happy as well.

On to the next garden!!!

Next on the lsit was the Garden of Saadi. It's a 15 minute drive from the last garden. This is much bigger than the tomb of Hafez, it has underground restaurant and a lot of ponds with fishes.

(where's the fish???)

(dami parin tao kahit late na)

(gotcha!)

(touch the tomb again!)

(family day at the park...este garden)

(door leading to the tomb)

(gardens..gardens..everywhere)

(entrance of the underground resto in the garden)

One thing that really struck me about this place was the beautiful mosaic ceiling of the underground resto. It's so Persian!

And they had another underground pond inside, with fishes again.Galing!

And since we've been walking from afternoon till nightime, we refresh ourself by ordering an traditional Persian ice cream. The ice cream is made of sotanghon (yep, the chinese sotanghon you buy at the market) plus ice plus sweeteners. The people love it, but me, yaiks! And we tried to converse with some Iranian women, very nice of them to talk to us =D.

(me, jasper and our driver with his girlfriend)

After the tiring evening, we went our way to the famous restaurant in downtown Shiraz. It was fun to visit this famous place. Really appreciate the Persian history and cultures.

Bye!

Day Off

Yesterday I took a day off. Reason? I'm tired. Duh! Hehehehe, seriously I think I need a break since I haven't slept well since we returned from our Capones escapades and I want to embrace the feeling of my new bed and Uratex foam. Also yesterday I settled my bank account and finally turned it into Time deposit. Then afterwards I visit Dra. Filoteo for the re-adjustment of my brace. Then I went to Netopia to download our Capones pics. I'm so overhelmed with the photos Dom and Eric had, ang gaganda ng kuha! Kainis lang coz when I was in the middle of downloading Erik's photos nagerror yung Multiply site. Oh well ok lang, I've got enough photos to upload here in my blog and in Friendster.

Oh btw, i got a new Eyeglass! Yey! It's an A & F eyeglass that I bought inExecutive Optical in Southmall together with Ate Rosa. Now I can see clearly now the rain has gone..este i can drive na pala coz nakakakita na ako. Happiness talaga =D.

Also yesterday I get a haircut from Charlie's parlor. I've cut my hair short coz ang init ngayon. New look for the new month.

Afterwards I went o Baclaran Church to hear a novena but didn't catch it but instead afternoon Mass nalang. The priest is good, hindi nakakaantok.

And of course, the main event of my trip yesterday was the purchasing of my brand new cellfone: Sony Ericsson K800i. Weee! Ang kaso lang, i don't know how to operate it! Wahahahaha.

Oh well, may pagkakaabalahan na naman ako sa mga susunod na araw =D.

The day that was..

Last Saturday was full of fun fun fun! Eventhough I have a hard time waking up at 7:00 am (on a Saturday!), which i consider is a crime, eh I immediately sprang up of bed and have immediately take the shower and breakfast to catch up my 8:00 am appointment with Citimotors in Las Pinas for my 1ooo km free check-up.
8:15 am: Here I was, together with my dad, lounging in the visitor's area of Citimotors. Nothing much to do around here i inspect, buti nalang they have newspaper! The service advisor told us that he would try to fix...err..maintenance check my car before noontime. Great!, I said to myself. I will still have some time to go to the dentist and make it to Tuloy for the practice. After 3 hours, 1 burger mc do meal, 2 newspapers, 3 episodes of The Family Guy on my i-pod, the car was ready. Hmmm...nice sounds the engine made..hehehehe..halatang bagong tune-up! After we bid adiue with Jimmy (he's the service advisor pala) We went home immediately and change clothes for my lakad in the afternoon.
Btw, during the course of waiting in line at Citimotors, tatay found out that I have 3 dents on my car! I promise to myself I will never ever park in the basement again! I have one suspect and I know he's the one who made that dent!

1:00 pm: After a quick dash at our office, I immediately went to my Dentist for the readjustment of my brace. Yup, i do have brace, para dun sa hindi pa nakakaalam. I know i maybe too old to have brace but hey, its my life and I dont care what you think about it =P.
Adjustment went smoothly for about an hour. Great! I 'm just in time for my next gig with Tuloy.

2:00 pm: Prcatice with the kids went great! They we're fantastic (im not exaggerating here) and they've memorized all there lines na. Such a happy feeling seeing this kids practicing, and asking me questions ranging from Greek literature,Science and Architecture. Maybe im destined talaga to be with them para mabago ang perspective and outlook ko sa life. =)

6:00 pm: after saying buh-bye with the kids and other volunteers, i immediately drive my way to Pateros to fetch Ms. Tisay. And here the misadventure starts. First it took me 20 minutes to get out of Alabang exit going to South SH. Second, gasoline was nearly empty while I'm in Sucat palang! Must drive faster para makaabot ang gas! Third: While on C5, mistook the dirt road as the original road ng C5, and ending: i ended up in Pembo (not bad though)! Fourth: My right side mirror got bumped in Buting, Pasig, luckily it was not damaged. Fifth: Ms. Tisay was 1.5 hours late! Wahahahaha. Nevertheless, all the misadventure was worth it when i saw Ms. Tisay. It's been a while since we've last seen each other (college days i think).

Anyhow, much of the evening was spent eating at Texas Grilled resto, stroll at Bonifacio High Street, Admiring the cool sculptures and counting how many poodle we saw on that place (7 poodle to be exact) and doing some window shopping. It was fun strolling The Fort, and the driving all the way to Taguig, Makati, Pateros and Pasig was even more fun.

Must get back to The Fort again...and soon!
