Last night, while I was busy arranging my stuff in my room and checking my schedule on my planner i got a chance to watch the much talked about new reality tv show on Channel 7, which is SURVIVOR PHILIPPINES. I have to admit I'm a survivor fan from the start but i lost interest when I started to work (since i cannot watch the live telecast on tv and i cannot catch the replay shows as well) and with the onset of much fast paced and thrill adventure The Amazing Race i totally forgot Survivor.
But lo and behold, channel 7 acquired the franchise of Survivor and made a Pinoy version of it. Imagine, a American product reality show composed of Filipino contestant and cast-away in a remote island in Thailand. How cool is that? I didn't remember all the contestants name but who strike me the mos is Patani. Her work daw is a Yaya and she's a former contestant wannabee in another contest in channel 7. In the show last night it was always her who was talked about by the other contestant, especially the call center girl, she talks a lot in my observation. But i think she's cool, palaban, and she will definitely kick @$$ on the show.
Kudos btw to the person who's in charge of supplying the girl's with their swimsuit. The labandera contestant looks like a winner in her two piece, and Patani as well =D.
(hindi ba obvious that im vying for Patani to win? hehehehe)
Oh, and also, napag-isip isip ko lang. If in Survivor States most of the contestants are waiter/waitress i think in Survivor Philippines the trend will be call center agents! Wanna bet?
The downside of the show is the main host. I mean, c'mon, P.B.? Yeah he's cool and expert in nature tripping/adventure show but i think i had enough of him already. Nakakaasar pa is that he always talk on most part of the show: e.g. when the girls are talking, the boys getting water, the team making a roof, etc. Palagi sya nagco-comment. It's like watching his previous tv show all over again! Waaaaah.
I do hope it will be an exciting reality show, it's a great relief to see another form of reality show different from the reality singing contest that we have now.
