Chapter 6: It's a small world after all in Disneyland

Dineyland, every kids dream vacation get-away and any other parents worst nightmare, hahaha! Just kidding. Dineyland really is a place for kids,where they can relate to the Disney princess, lilo and stitch, Tarzan, Mickey Mouse and friends, and a whole lot of other disney characters that I don't even know who they are!

I must admit, a day after we went from ocean park, i was very disappointed with the rides in disneyland. The rides here catered mostly for the kids age 10 years old and below. If you don't fall on that category you'll definitely die in boredom. Thank God for the camera, dun nalang kami bumawi, taking pictures on every side of the park.

Oh, one thing that I enjoy being here is seeing Mickey Mose and Friends in person! Yey! We didn't catch Mickey to have our picture taken but we had some pictures from Tigger, Goofy and Stich. And we did see the Disney Princess (Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella) but didn't get any picture together with them coz we ran up of time.

The main attraction of Disneyalnd is the magical fireworks display complete with sounds and lights performace. Ganda! The program last for about 15 minutes, and during this time i was filming it so imagine how ngawit I was while filming it (i was holding my camera way up high for like 15 mintes!!!).

In the end, I realize that Disneyland is really a magical place to be, where you can be a kid even for a day, by just wishing upon a star, making no difference who you are.....

Chapter 5: Street Walk, the Hong Kong way

Exciting and Enjoyable, that's how i describe our sight seeing in Nathan Road Hong kong. You can also sense the security when your walking around the main streets of HK due to police visibility and maybe because 60% of the people on the streets are foreigners (i.e. caucasians). Eventhough there's a lot of people on the street, still sight seeing and window shop is a must to be able to enjoy the true HK spirit (i.e. people who love to shop).

Chapter 4: Ocean Park

Seals, Dolphins, Birds, Pandas and a whole lotta Fishes! This is Ocean park Hong Kong. Another thing to look forward when visiting this place are the rides (most specially the Abyss) and the Cable car ride =D. Plus factor to O.P. was its location. Most of the rides and scenery are located on top of the mountain (the roller coaster rides are strategically located on the edge of the cliff for the addditional "takot" factor) overlooking the scenic Kowloon Bay. seeing the Pandas in person is a great experience din. Mas cute pa sila sa stuff toys =D.

It was really a fun fun fun day for us.

Chapter 3: Avenue of the Stars

Avenue of Stars is located on the Southern portion of Tsim Sha Tsui, one MTR ride from our place. We went there around 9:00pm for us to experience the night life of Hong Kong people. They imitate the Hollywood walk of Fame here in HK but the only difference is that instead of American actors name printed on the sidewalk, the names of Chinese actors are printed instead.



A lot of people, young and old, are strolling in the avenue. We'll it's Saturday evening pala, it's gimmick time! A lot of al fresco bar is located in this place, most notably the popular Starbucks rules the gimikan area! Musicians, Photographers, Lovers, Hawkers and Fishers are the people who stroll the place. Exhausted and my foot aches big time, we didn't tour the place too much but nevertheless na-enjoy naman namin our visit.



Sadly, most of our shots at my camera we're blurred. Pasmado kasi ang mga photographer hehehe. I really should but a high definition camera sa susunod.

Chapter 2: Christ the King celebration at Hong Kong

We arrive at HK Saturday morning, and all through the day was spent walking around Tsim Sha Tsui, Nathan Road, Jordan St. I'll have a separate article about life in the street in HK. Sunday morning was spent first in the church. The St. Mary Rosary Church along Chatham Road,a 20 minute walk from our place. I didn't had the chance to take picture inside the church coz it wa forbidden. The church inside was fully air-conditioned and except from Pinoy attending the mass there are a lot of Indian and Chinese people attending the mass. The priest who celebrate the mass is an Indian descent while the commentator was a Filipina and the choir people are mixed Chinese, British and Filipinos.

In fairness to their service, they don't use projector for the songs, instead they had songbook tucked in front of their seats. And the service is in English din. I've heard there are a lot of Catholic Church in Hongkong, which is good, and also Christian church is a big hit in HK. I've seen a lot of poster around Nathan Road inviting people to attend their services every Sunday (with free food ha!) and in the place where we stayed some Filipinos also have a charismatic group there, with services every Saturday and Sunday din. Saya di ba?



All in all, it was a great experience, nagkataon pa na it was Christ the King day, very memorable tuloy ang araw na ito.

Chapter 1: Flying high above the Skies

Flying Cebu Pacific from Clark to Hong Kong was great! Imagine getting a round trip plane ticket worth Php5,000, san ka pa! The only hassle about it was we need to depart from Clark International Airport instead here in Pasay since it was fully booked na.

Anyway, our morning flight was at 7:00 am and we got to the airport around 4:00am. The bus we rode from Megamall to Pasay was empty except for us three (we we're three btw) Cebu Pac depart on time and we arrive in HK airport 20 minutes ahead of schedule. Talk about "pakitang gilas"!




While we we're on the plane, I can't help but notice the fluffy white clouds below us. They're like soft and fluffy and cuddly and everything. Ang sarap i-hug! No wonder the care bears are having a time of their life living above the clouds. Hmmmm, i wonder if Rainbow Bright has the same feeling as the care bears =D.

I must admit, the plane ride going to HK was more enjoyable than the 12-hour journey from Manila to Dubai (or Doha). The flight was less stressfull, less people, less noise and more importantly a very relaxing joyride.

Yes! Sa wakas natapos narin ang adventure trip sa lupain ng mga intsik na may british accent. I'll be blogging my experience sa HK starting from the day of the departure until our arrival here sa Pinas. Sort of travel tips narin ito para sa mga nagbabalak magtravel sa HK.

The Tuloy sa Don Bosco Foundation will once again be having the Tuloy KAP on Dec. 6, 2008 (whole day affair). It is a sportsfest for the different streetchildren' s village in Metro Manila & nearby provinces. A total of 30 plus centers, 1000 plus kids will be participating. In line, we will be needing volunteers as game & program marshalls, scorers, referees, etc.... This is a really fun event for the kids and kids at heart. Finally, i'm almost done with my work here sa office!

After more than 2 weeks of pain-in-the-@$$ activity, countless sleepless nights,worrying that I might make it to the deadline, i'm finally sending my work to our dear old grandmother company tomorrow, with sheer joy and triumpht!

You might be wondering kung ano ba ang ginawa ko (errr..namin pala).

Nagbilang ng valves sa 300+ sheets of A3 papers while applying the law of American Society of Mechanical Engineer code ASME B31.3 in Process Engineering condition regarding Ball valves.

Basta ang alam ko, sa ngayon eh ako ang nagisiscan ng mga papers na ito at andito pa ako ngayon sa office kahit 7:oo pm na ng gabi.

In short: Overtime na walang kahirap hirap.
